About the role

We are seeking an experienced System Integration Specialist with 8-10 years of expertise in designing, developing and supporting secure enterprise integrations across GCP, AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in multi-system integration, cloud connectors, APIs, middleware, microservices and end-to-end integration flows, with practical exposure to SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), EFB, Ab Initio, Kong Konnect and microservices-based architectures.

The role will also support the integration of enterprise applications and data platforms with Large Language Models and GenAI services, ensuring that data exchanged with AI models remains secure, governed, traceable and compliant with enterprise standards.

What you’ll be doing

1. Leads cloud system design activities and/or reviews system designs to assure that solutions will exhibit expected levels of performance, security, scalability, security, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
2. Manages automation initiatives of cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, self-service, infrastructure-as-code services, auto scale initiatives, and DevOps deployment
3. Communicates with key stakeholders to influence the adoption of cloud-native systems and helps to inform stakeholders on how to use platform capabilities effectively through appropriate venue
4. Delivers consultative advice through advanced technical knowledge on system architecture and recommend solutions in alignment with systems engineering best practices
5. Leads the collaboration with quality assurance and technical writers to complete development cycle
6. Leads the collaboration with business stakeholders and product owners to scope and de-risk development activities in advance
7. Executes complex data analyses to make decisions on where to invest and iterate on efficiency and cloud management tools
8. Drives a risk-aware culture, and ensures efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
9. Ensures efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security
10. Identifies, analyses, and resolves complex infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues independently
11. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in cloud engineering best practices and industry standards
12. Mentors other cloud engineers, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource

Essential Skills / Experience

Enterprise and Multi-System Integration (Must)

• Design, develop and implement end-to-end integrations across enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, ERP systems, data platforms and cloud services.
• Define complete integration flows covering source systems, integration and middleware layers, transformation, orchestration, security, target systems and downstream consumption.
• Integrate heterogeneous systems using APIs, cloud connectors, middleware, event-driven services, microservices and managed file-transfer mechanisms.

SAP CPI and CIG (Preferred)

• Design, build and support integrations using SAP Cloud Integration, formerly CPI, within SAP Integration Suite.
• Configure integration flows, adapters, message mappings, routing, transformations, exception handling and monitoring.

API Management and Kong Konnect (Desirable)

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and, where relevant, SOAP, GraphQL and webhook-based interfaces.
• Use Kong Konnect for API gateway, API management, service connectivity and governance requirements.
• Configure API routing, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, throttling, request validation and traffic-management policies.

Middleware, EFB and Ab Initio (Desirable)

• Develop and manage integration solutions using enterprise middleware and integration platforms.
• Use EFB capabilities and standards applicable to the organisation’s integration landscape.
• Develop and support Ab Initio graphs, plans and data-processing workflows for complex data integration requirements.
• Implement data extraction, validation, transformation, enrichment, reconciliation, and loading processes.
• Optimise Ab Initio and middleware workflows for performance, scalability and operational resilience.

Microservices Architecture (Must)

• Design integration services using microservices and domain-oriented architecture principles.
• Develop and integrate independently deployable services with clearly defined interface contracts.
• Implement service-to-service communication using APIs, messaging and event-streaming patterns.
• Apply design patterns such as API gateway, circuit breaker, retry and idempotency.

Desirable Skills / Experience

Essential Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in enterprise system integration, middleware, API engineering or cloud integration.
• Strong experience designing complex end-to-end integration flows involving multiple source and target systems.
• Hands-on experience in at least one major cloud platform (GCP or AWS preferred).
• Experience with API management, authentication, authorisation, versioning and lifecycle governance.

Candidates should possess hands-on experience or exposure to:
