About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer Specialist to lead the development, support, and modernization of enterprise applications built on Java, Python, and .NET technologies. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, people leadership, and delivery management to ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions that meet business objectives.


The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, provide technical direction, drive application strategy, and work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and related security applications
  • Leading and mentoring development and application support teams across Java, Python, and .NET technology stacks.
  • Defining and implementing technical strategies, architecture standards, and development best practices.
  • Overseeing the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise applications.
  • Managing project delivery, resource allocation, priorities, risks, and dependencies across multiple initiatives.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Driving application modernization, cloud adoption, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensuring application security, performance, scalability, and reliability through effective governance and technical oversight.
  • Managing production support activities, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service improvement plans.
  • Working with infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Supporting Agile delivery practices and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Providing regular updates and technical recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Essential Skills / Experience

    • Proven experience managing software development and application support teams.
    • Strong hands-on knowledge of:
      Java (Spring Boot, Microservices)
      Python (Flask, Django, FastAPI)
      .NET / .NET Core (C#)
    • Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications and integration solutions.
    • Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and application integration patterns.
    • Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
    • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jenkins.
    • Understanding of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Experience managing budgets, resources, vendors, and project delivery.
    • Ability to lead technical discussions, provide architectural guidance, and make strategic technology decisions.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

    Desirable Skills / Experience

    • Experience with Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and physical security technologies.
    • Knowledge of enterprise security operations, access management processes, and physical security system integrations.
    • Experience in cloud-native application development and modernization.
    • Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
    • Agile, Scrum, PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant professional certifications.
    • Experience managing globally distributed teams and supporting business-critical applications.
