Job Description

Why this job matters

Are you an experienced delivery leader ready to take on a high-impact role at the heart of BT Business? We’re looking for a dynamic professional to take full accountability for the delivery of major programmes and portfolios for some of BT’s largest and most strategic UK business customers. This role is critical to BT’s success—ensuring the seamless delivery of complex technology programmes that not only generate significant revenue but also drive customer satisfaction and unlock future business through excellence in execution and service.

As the face of programme delivery, you’ll engage directly with executive-level stakeholders, providing confidence in BT’s capabilities from bid through to implementation and beyond. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, set the standard for delivery excellence, and own the achievement of key performance metrics—including Right First Time milestones, revenue realisation, and customer NPS. If you're passionate about delivering market-differentiating customer experiences and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, this is your opportunity to shape the future of BT’s customer relationships and business growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of complex programmes for BT’s largest UK business customers, ensuring delivery meets contracted service levels, financial targets, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Acts as the senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, building trusted relationships with executive-level customers, partners, and suppliers to drive shared success and long-term value.
  • Leads and motivates high-performing, multi-disciplined teams, effectively managing resources, schedules, and delivery plans to meet or exceed programme and contract requirements.
  • Owns and drives achievement of key KPIs—including RFT milestones, revenue realisation, cost to serve, and NPS—while ensuring robust governance, risk management, and quality assurance throughout delivery.
  • Provides assurance and oversight for major deal sign-offs, manages programme costs, and ensures third-party supplier performance, all while maintaining alignment with BT’s values and strategic goals.

Skills You'll Need

  • Proven leadership in managing large, multi-disciplined teams, fostering high performance through coaching, mentoring, and clear direction.
  • Extensive experience in end-to-end delivery of complex and technical programmes using both traditional and agile methodologies, with a strong track record of meeting cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at C-level and manage challenging conversations to drive positive outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and governance expertise, including risk management, supplier management, and performance tracking through robust frameworks and KPIs.
  • Resilient and solutions-focused, with a collaborative mindset and ability to inspire a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and cross-functional problem solving.
