Why this job matters

As a Sales Specialist for BT you will have all-round technical and commercial knowledge of industry wide mobile solutions and how BT compares. You will know how to build mobile solutions around voice, data, hardware and mobile applications including managed mobile services. In this role, utilising various frameworks is vital, influencing our customers to use the frameworks where BT effectively compete. Hitting sales targets through identifying opportunities, continuously building you pipeline and nurturing client relationships, will be a key part of this role.

This role will be field based across our Southern based customers, making a full UK licence necessary. To do this role, you will also need to be willing to be SC and NPPV 3 cleared, this means you will have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years and have no criminal record.

What you’ll be doing

  • Ensure regular face-to-face meetings with customer to keep up-to-date with their needs, identifying opportunities, driving sales, and succeeding targets.
  • Utilise knowledge of EE & BT mobile solutions portfolio to influence key decisions makers, always aligning solutions to customers need where appropriate, developing a 'trusted advisor' status.
  • Maintain accurate records on Salesforce, CRM system, using other sales planning tools such as Altify and Winning Conversations as required to support process.
  • Develop a competitor landscape across the portfolio, as well as creating pipelines ensuring appropriate cover to ensure success.
  • Work with key internal and external stakeholders to drive business outcomes. This includes; account managers, CIO's, Commercial, Service, Product Management and Supplier and Vendors.

  • Understanding of EE stack and customers.
  • Central government / public sector experience desirable.
  • Experience in a face-to-face field sales role ideally in telco / technology sectors.
  • The ability to work autonomously, but still be a team player, confidence is key.
  • Proven track record of delivering to targets, building solutions and exceeding expectations.
