About the role

Operating as one unified team, P&HRS delivers the people processes and services that enable a consistent, high-quality colleague experience across BT Group.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Service Excellence, you'll join a growing project management team delivering business-critical projects across People & Culture and People & HR Services. Working on a varied portfolio of initiatives involving people processes, HR systems and business transformation, you'll lead projects from discovery and design through to delivery and implementation. Current examples include digital right-to-work and international separation programmes.

This role offers excellent exposure across BT Group, working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams on projects that directly shape the colleague experience.

Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, influencing stakeholders, navigating ambiguity and bringing diverse teams together to deliver successful outcomes. Project briefs can sometimes be high-level or evolving, requiring you to clarify objectives, define solutions and align stakeholders behind a common goal

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver end-to-end projects on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards by coordinating cross-BT stakeholders, indirect reports and third-party providers
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and recipients of change to ensure a smooth transition into the operational HRS environment
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests, ensuring timely escalation and resolution
  • Chair project and steering meetings, providing clear updates on progress, risks and key decisions
  • Produce effective project communications and reporting to support informed decision-making
  • Coordinate portfolio reporting and governance activities across the HRS project landscape
  • Deliver change initiatives, including communications, training and adoption activities
  • Support continuous improvement within the team, acting as a subject matter expert and sharing best practice

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build credible relationships and work effectively across diverse teams
  • Excellent influencing and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive decisions in complex environments
  • A collaborative approach, bringing people together to deliver outcomes and navigate change successfully

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience delivering projects or change initiatives through the full project lifecycle
  • Experience of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading communications, engagement or change activities as part of project delivery
  • Knowledge of HR processes, HR systems or People & Culture environments
  • Experience of PMO, project governance, reporting and risk management
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and colleague experience initiatives
