Why this job matters

As a lead consultant in our Defence Solution Design Authority practice, you will be working as a trusted industry partner to our defence customer and cross-functionally supporting internal business units (Sales, Business, Technology, Security and Operations), key stakeholders and externally facing third party technology providers as part of and reporting into the practice manager.

You will work with internal key stakeholders, the customer, and its subsidiary departments to conceptualise their strategic vision, capture requirements; to define and create innovative fit for purpose digital solutions meeting their digital strategy and transform the way they can do business.

Underpinned by using robust ICT framework architecture, security principles, methodologies, industry best practices, and customer compliance polices. As a solution architect you will be providing expert solution architecture expertise and ownership throughout all stages of the solutions design engagement life cycle.

You will be part of an industry leading Solution Design Authority team working closely with other architects, designers, technology experts, business managers and business analysts. Where you will bring your expertise and diverse experience to each challenge ensuring successful solution delivery across a vast variation in highly sensitive and unique opportunities and project

What you’ll be doing

• Undertake installation site surveys, inspections, and vulnerability assessments at appropriate stages, certifying compliance or non-conformance.
• Identify, document, and escalate risk or non-conformance to the project owner and provide resolution advice.
• Produce vulnerability assessment documentation.

Skills You'll Need

Key skills & experience:
• Working knowledge and hands on experience of Penetration Testing.
• Working knowledge and hands on experience of techniques and tools in conducting vulnerability scanning and assessments (such as Nessus, Nmap, Nipper)
• Working understanding and hands on experience of Information Communication Technologies in at least Two of the following:
• Enterprise network security and boundary protection
• Preferably have either of the following professional training and/or accreditations
• Certified Penetration Testing Professional (C|PENT)
• Offensive Security Certified Professional (PEN-100 & PEN-200)
• CREST Registered Penetration tester.
