About the role

The Corporate Inside Sales team are a successful, diverse and sociable group, working together to drive new business and maintain customer loyalty. We are seeking a Account Manager as a direct report to the Sales Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting our corporate customers across the regions base and delivering a relative sales target. This role drives the delivery of profit and revenue growth across our established base whilst maintaining high NPS customer satisfaction scores each year.

You'll be joining a tightly knit team in our Birmingham, with a supportive and collaborative culture. Our Birmingham office hosts Account Managers, Sales Specialists and Business Development Managers - so you'll be sitting right next to the people who will help you do well in your role. This team is all about building each other up to succeed. You'll also be brought up to speed on your sales skills with our bespoke training programme, and long term there are opportunities for career growth into roles across the sales space at BT.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate customer accounts, owning the end‑to‑end sales relationship
  • Drive revenue and profit growth through proactive opportunity identification and careful account planning
  • Maintain accurate forecasting across revenue and margin using Salesforce and internal tools
  • Deliver a high‑quality customer experience, achieving strong Net Promoter Scores through meaningful engagement
  • Identify, qualify and close opportunities across BT’s enterprise portfolio, managing the full sales lifecycle
  • Work closely with product specialists and wider sales teams to design appropriate customer solutions
  • Proactively manage churn risk within your base and defend existing revenue
  • Use customer data, insights and trends to improve sales performance and inform account strategy

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Experience working in a sales or account management role, ideally within a B2B environment
  • Able to manage customer relationships and deliver against revenue or margin targets
  • Engaging with customers to understand business needs and identify opportunities
  • Organisation and forecasting, with attention to pipeline hygiene and accuracy
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to achieve the best customer outcomes

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience within inside sales, corporate sales or technology‑led environments
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Experience retaining and growing revenue within an established customer base
  • Exposure to selling connectivity, mobility, cloud or related technology solutions
