Why this job matters

This role will be the electrical representative, ensuring all aspects of the electrical activity conform to customer requirements and H&S regulations. The post holder will be managing multiple suppliers to ensure alignment and on time delivery as well as undertaking test and certification and providing reports to customers and internal account teams. Dealing with onsite issues and using technical skill to resolve and ensuring installations are completed to correct quality. Role holder will support the design and implementation of new networks and inventory management systems.


What you'll be doing

• Represent BT in all matters electrical to the Client and 3rd party contractors and provide SME support to BT project management team, account managers and team members. Requires close working with the client to ensure all technical requirements of projects are understood and delivered
• Verify 3rd party designs and review, verify and comment on 3rd party test results
• Manage relationships with external third party suppliers and internal teams, to insure the technical quality is met. Responsible for handing over an acceptance of electrical work to the customer
• Support Enterprise Field Services and 3rd party contractors with electrical installations and maintenance, ensuring all work activities conform to relevant regulations and safety policies.


Skills required

• Formal, Level 3 electrical installation qualification & AM2
• City & Guilds 2382-18
• Electrical testing qualification– City and guilds 2391
• Minimum 2 years previous experience as qualified supervisor with NICEIC
• Ability to manage clients, suppliers and BT stakeholders
• Act a role model for the BT values in order to strive to be part of engaged, productive team who are committed to deliver for the best interests of BT and our mobile customer’s.
• Possess good project management skills to progress multiple build jobs simultaneously
• Security Clearance to SC level, NPPVL3


Experience you need

• Experience of understanding customer requirements and experience in dealing with customers in both formal meeting settings and informal 121 catch up sessions
• Experience of owning and resolving customer escalations.
• In depth knowledge of Electrical infrastructures, including testing and certificating requirements
• Understanding of site surveying of BT assets, kiosks, rooftops, high towers, network infrastructure and requirements for network build on sites.
