Why this job matters

Reporting to the Desk Sales Manager of the Mid-Market team, this role involves providing ongoing customer support and identifying simple cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

You will manage relationships with approximately 80 customers from a desk-based environment, aiming to achieve a revenue target of several million pounds.

Customer satisfaction is crucial, whether you are working with clients individually from the desk or as part of the broader account team.

What you’ll be doing

• Achieve revenue targets independently or as part of a virtual sales team within private or public sector customer bases.

• Conduct outbound sales prospecting, regularly call customers, and promote BT products and services.

• Collaborate with field sales and specialist teams to create opportunities for core BT products.

• Accurately forecast business KPIs for management.

• Proactively manage churn risk for core BT products.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to sell to new customers.

• Recognise and capitalise on business growth opportunities through a multi-channel approach.

• Close contracts independently and collaborate with specialists as needed to meet customer requirements (e.g., Field Account Management, Contract Management).

• Serve as the desk-based point of contact, developing long-term customer relationships.

The skills you’ll need

• Ability to drive business growth for BT by closing contracts both independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in identifying and capitalizing on business growth opportunities through a multi-channel approach.

• Capability to meet personal revenue targets and effectively collaborate with specialists to meet customer requirements.

• Experience in managing clients with 100-250 seats and up to £1 million in addressable spend.
