Why this job matters

The role involves winning new business, meeting revenue, targets while maintaining the high standards the BT Brand has established. The market is small business. Sales opportunities are generated from outbound campaigns, some sales leads and inbound calls. The role holder will handle customer inquiries promptly and accurately, following established sales methods processes and procedures.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage a set of small SME accounts

• Understand BT’s products and services to effectively meet customer needs and acquire new clients.

• Make outbound calls to attract new customers in the 10-49 employee segment.

• Sell BT & EE’s standard products, including mobile, connectivity, and IP voice, and potentially across multiple product areas to meet customer needs.

• Build and maintain strong, profitable relationships with key contacts and decision-makers.

• Follow BT’s sales processes to retain and grow business, including effective questioning and account management.

• Achieve targets and KPIs in a target-driven, customer-facing environment, including customer contact, pipeline health, and revenue growth.

• Keep sales tools and systems updated with accurate customer information, ensuring GDPR compliance.

• Identify and pursue new business and growth opportunities within the account base.

• Clearly conveys messages and influences others effectively, both in writing and verbally.
• Comfortable using IT systems, databases, email, and tools like Teams.
• Understands how to address customer needs, set expectations, and provide solutions.
• Consistently meets or exceeds targets
• Previous sales experience is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn and ambition are highly valued.

Our working model

BT have moved to a hybrid working model - you can work from home certain parts of the week as per the SMART working model, however operationally you will be required to work five days a week in the office until standards are achieved
