About the role

Our core role as the Data team in BT Enterprise is to manage information to enable the business to succeed. The quality, accuracy and way we do that is what makes us effective and in-demand across the organization.

As the Data Professional - Operational Performance, you will play a key part in driving the knowledge of the performance of our Service Delivery specific to products or processes into Enterprise. To deliver the top level KPI’s as well as access to the finer level detail below.

You will join a core team of data subject matter experts to deliver data products (Reports, Datasets, Data models, Self-service reporting and Analytics) to the end user community.

With Specific responsibility for several processes including Contacts, Orders, Service Requests, Complaints and Billing. You will ensure the Business Intelligence is available and utilised. You will carry performance information into Enterprise wherever it may be required. This will include elements of both reporting and analysis.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering operational performance in a usable form
  • Optimising the calculate once often use strategy of the “measure model” in your designated area
  • Owning and delivering a specified dynamic reporting capability deployed in Product and service data
  • Quality on time delivery of critical reports for Product and Service ensuring this information can be accessed at the appropriate temporal grain as well as product dimension. Daily, Weekly, Monthly for each measure and metric as well as the product and functional dimensions
  • Development and maintain your data and reporting of Operational performance adding new products, processes and systems as they change and develop
  • To generate the data used across Service Delivery to drive and underpin high quality Service Delivery and Customer Experience.
  • Undertaking deep dive performance analysis - considering the product / process performance as well as the cost to serve and cost of failure

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Strong reporting and analysis pedigree
  • Experience of working with Customers on commercial terms.
  • Strong experience of SQL
  • Google BigQuery
  • Experience of working in Telco Industry

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience of spotting performance improvement opportunities (commercial and operational) but also managing and mitigating business risks.
  • Experience in delivering messages (good or bad) clearly, promptly and honestly.
  • Experience of building strong delivery plans.
