Why this job matters

The ESN Commercial Specialist works within the Coverage Services team in ESN and interfaces with the Home Office and 3 Emergency Services (3ES) Users to facilitate and deliver coverage. You’ll own and manage commercial relationships with the Home Office and be a key interface between the Coverage Teams at the UK Home Office and a number of teams across BT Business amd Networks. This role will provide commercial support a number of programmes including the Resilience Programme and Coverage in the London Underground.

The ability to build effective relationships with customer and suppliers to deliver key ESN services is critical to the success of this role. When executed well the role has the opportunity to drive £15m p.a. revenue into the ESN programme.

You will be required to undergo National Security Vetting to SC or NPPV level.

What you’ll be doing

• Leads Home Office relationships and ensures plan in place for Coverage related projects
• Support the delivery of new business within the ESN contract
• Strategic stakeholder management with key Customer and Suppliers.
• Negotiation of deals and commercial terms with Home Office other ESMCP partners in relation to Coverage.
• Manages contract / commercial changes in relation to incremental coverage delivery.
• Provide commercial and contract guidance to the ESN team.

What we would like to see on your CV

• A background in finance, commercial, or procurement.

• Strong management skills are required, including virtual people management within project teams.

• Experience with contract management, including reading contracts and drafting formal documents such as quotes and contractual paperwork, is important.

• Show that you are a confident communicator, with experience including interaction at director level and customer-facing experience
• Experience preparing PowerPoint presentations and formal change documentation.

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
