Location: Manchester, London, Bristol, Birmingham, or Belfast

Why this job matters

Our newly formed UK Sales & Commercial team is on an exciting growth journey, supporting businesses from small companies through to organisations with 250+ employees.

We have big ambitions to grow and transform this segment, and you’ll play a key role in helping us make it happen. You’ll be part of an exciting transformation of our sales channels and routes to market—making things better for our customers and colleagues while delivering strong commercial results for BT Business.

Turn insight into action

Our Insight function turns complex data into clear, practical recommendations that drive better commercial decisions and business performance. Working closely with Strategy, Sales, Trading, CVM and Digital teams, you’ll bring together advanced analytics, customer insight, market intelligence and data storytelling to answer key business questions and uncover new opportunities.

If you enjoy turning data into meaningful insight, influencing decisions and helping shape strategy, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and develop a team of 4 Insight Specialists – Coach, mentor and support your team, helping them deliver complex projects, manage priorities and workloads, and follow best-practice technical and commercial approaches.

• Turn data into action – Investigate key business questions, test hypotheses and deliver clear, actionable recommendations that shape the strategic direction of Sales & Commercial.

• Understand our customers and market – Use segmentation, customer value analysis and market intelligence to uncover opportunities and improve our understanding of customers, competitors and market trends.

• Measure what matters – Assess the impact of strategic initiatives, products and transformation programmes, using insight to recommend actions that improve business outcomes.

• Make insight part of everyday decisions – Embed data and insight into business processes, planning and commercial decision-making.

• Work across the business – Partner with teams across Commercial, Sales, CVM, Finance and Strategy to solve complex business challenges and deliver meaningful results.

• Raise the bar on insight – Champion high-quality analysis, clear storytelling and recommendations that stand up to peer review and drive confident decision-making.
