Business Partnering & Commercial Finance Manager

Location - London, Bristol or Birmingham

Hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

About the role

What you’ll be doing

  • Cost per transaction reporting: develop, maintain and report against targets for each channel / sub channel.
  • Work with the wider finance teams for channel cost inputs, track actuals vs targets, perform variance analysis and look to optimize / provide the narrative behind the numbers.
  • Provide powerpoint outputs for channel director reviews with further analysis and deep dives as required.
  • Actively use the data to find opportunities / areas for optimization.
  • Draw in the value reporting information to provide a rounded view of channel performance.
  • Commissions business partner: Be the finance business partner for the frontline commissions, working closely with the commercial commissions team. Budgeting, month end, flash processes. Understanding of the scheme, variance analysis and challenge where necessary to optimize budgeted spend.
  • Participate within the monthly Commission board, attended by channel directors and commercial teams.
  • Provide inputs into the Group transformation tracking documents on a monthly basis, with relevant commentary.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Attention to Detail with experience of financial analysis/modelling - Critical for financial analysis and reporting, as small deviations in numbers can significantly impact business decisions and strategy.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and work across multiple teams to gather information and inputs for CPT modeling.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Strong excel and Powerpoint skills with the ability to analyse data to conclude on next steps / recommendations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clear key messages, often to senior management
  • Ability to identify the root causes through financial analysis. Logical thought process to decipher information.
  • Proven ability to create strong links with business partners and other areas of Finance. Ability to quickly gain respect and credibility amongst peers and stakeholders
  • Ability to change direction quickly to new requests, delivering high quality of outputs
