Why this job matters

This Technical Operational Authority (TOA) individual will provide technical support and managed services to our customers through the use of Data Services technologies, 24x7x365 days a year. They'll also own the technical delivery model and relationship with internal supplier resolver teams to deliver a seamless experience to the customer.

By using market leading products and applying BTs process, quality and intellectual property, we provide our customers with services to facilitate their objectives through the power of communication. The role requires a skilled technical engineer who is an innovative, engaging, driven individual and has a proven record of achievement.

Please note - This role can be based in any Better Workplace Hub and must be willing to travel to customer site in Nottingham as and when required

What you’ll be doing

1. Assessing new in-life complex change requirements including impact upon existing service and infrastructure and provide technical concurrence
2. Ownership and implementation of configuration changes to the supported infrastructure.
3. Primary technical customer and BT liaison for the in life contract, interfacing with the account team where necessary for complex change and strategic discussions. Complex change deemed as professional or consultancy services will be chargeable and managed as a contract change notification
4. Updating and maintaining technical operational documentation in life, post significant changes
5. Undertaking estate management, reviewing current software and hardware versions for end of life notifications

What we would like to see on your CV

1. Extensive experience working within a systems integrator support environment as a highly skilled technical engineer
2. In-depth knowledge of EMS products, customer IT systems and applications
3. Experience of working across the service lifecycle, supporting and costing bids as a subject matter expert
4. You'll possess deep level technical knowledge of Data Services technologies and associated management application
5. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo Government Security Clearance to SC level, which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
