About Brit
At Brit, we believe that the uncertainty of the future should never stand in the way of progress. That’s why we exist. To help people and businesses face the future and thrive. We are change-makers enabled by a global workforce who collaborate to deliver a risk service. We might write the future of risk for our brokers and clients, but we would love to help you write your future at Brit: a future based on not just progressing but on thriving – both professionally and emotionally. If you’re looking for a place to make a real difference read on.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll be a key part of our Risk Aggregation team, helping us understand and manage catastrophe risk across the business. You’ll be working closely with underwriters to make sure they’ve got the right data and insights to make confident decisions whether that’s for pricing, portfolio rollups or broader risk strategy. You’ll be hands-on with catastrophe models like RMS and AIR, using them to produce accurate, timely outputs that support both day-to-day underwriting and longer-term planning.
You’ll bring your analytical skills to bear on large, complex datasets making sure our exposure data is clean, complete and consistent. You’ll use tools like Excel, SQL and ideally Python to dig into the detail, spot trends and help us improve how we assess and communicate risk. You’ll also be involved in aligning our modelling assumptions with teams like capital modelling, actuarial and ERM, so we’re all pulling in the same direction.
There’s a strong collaborative element to the role. You’ll be managing relationships with our outsourced modelling partners, guiding their work and making sure it meets our standards. You’ll also support and mentor junior team members, helping them develop while ensuring the quality and consistency of our modelling work stays high.
We welcome everyone wholeheartedly
We’ve got a truly diverse, genuinely inclusive work environment. We comfortably and confidently bring our whole selves to work, because we know we’ll be respected, valued and accepted whoever we are. Our Employee Resource groups are safe spaces for people to share their experiences, aspirations and suggestions about how we do things.
