We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Accounting to lead our accounting, tax and reporting functions. In this role, you will partner with all aspects of the business to build and improve accounting and financial processes, systems and controls while ensuring that core accounting functions are operating at the level of a publicly-traded company. What you'll do:

• Lead all aspects of our accounting functions including the general ledger, revenue, tax, financial reporting, technical accounting and statutory accounting
• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation
• Manage all monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities; prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local/statutory tax regulations and timely filings
• Identify opportunities to improve internal accounting processes; propose and implement solutions
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of control processes to mitigate financial risk and ensure accuracy of company records
• Coordinate and oversee external audits, liaising with auditors to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit process
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
• Manage external stakeholders to address audit, investor, banking, compliance, reporting, and tax requirements
• Stay current with respect to changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring ongoing compliance and best practices

The Experience you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA with 15+ years experience, including 10+ years in-house
• Strong technical accounting skills, comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience leading a team through financial audits with Big 4 Audit firms
• Ability to work cross-functionally to scale processes and support business needs
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights
• Experience implementing and managing financial systems in a SaaS environment (e.g., billing, revenue recognition, ERP, AP, etc.)
  Ability to both see the big picture and dive into the details
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience leading the Accounting function for a company with over $500M in annual revenues

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation for this position in the US ranges between $220,000 - $300,000 annually + applicable bonus. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
