We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our R&D Department.

This position is part of Boomi following its recent acquisition of Rivery, a cloud-based DataOps platform. While now under Boomi, the role remains within Rivery’s team, working closely with our experts in data integration and automation. You can read more about the acquisition here.

Please also note that this is a hybrid office/remote role where you will work at least 3 days per week from our stunning Ramat Gan, Israel office; and 2 days from home.

In this role you will

• Contribute to the backend technology team focused on Data Pipelines, as part of the Core Engineering team.
• Design and develop AI Agents and agentic solutions.
• Build and enhance the core data connector infrastructure engine.
• Own end-to-end feature development, from initial design to final implementation.
• Engage with high-scale workloads and the automation engine for agentic integration.
• Drive significant impact on a rapidly growing and dynamic BigData product.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and DevOps to deliver an exceptional product.

Our technology stack: Python, LangChain, MCP, MongoDB, AWS, DynamoDB, SQS, Dockers, Kubernetes, RAG.

Required skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Backend Developer.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Expertise in building and managing microservices systems in cloud environments.
• Experience in developing data pipelines
• Experience with prompt engineering, building Agentic automation
• Experience with using AI in development tools like Cursor or Claude Code .
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Strong knowledge of Databases (like Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL...) and NoSQL databases (like MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing and data lake solutions such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Athena.
• Experience with queuing SaaS systems like AWS SQS and Kafka.
• Understanding and application of CI/CD practices.
• An enthusiastic learner with a passion for keeping up-to-date with industry trends.
• Commitment to contributing to innovative product development and delivering meaningful impact as an individual contributor.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Experience with leading features from design to production including writing HLD.
