Sales Operations Manager

Our Sales Operations team is at the heart of developing sales processes and procedures for administering, fulfilling and communicating both online and offline orders. A bridge between sales and other operational functions, we use our peerless expertise to evaluate and implement improvements to sales programs and processes – from planning and prioritization to pricing and margin strategies, sales automation, reporting and more. Put simply, we make sure the process of getting our ground-breaking products and services to customers as simple and seamless as possible.

Join us as a Manager on our Sales Operations team in Bangalore, India to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact. This role is a player/coach position. 60% of the time you will perform work along side the team members that report to you. Providing coaching and guidance on a day to day basis. 30% of the time you will act as their front line manager that will participate in the hiring, managing and development of effective team members and other responsibilities as outlined below.

What you’ll achieve as a Sales Operations Manager,

PLAYER part of the role:

  • Review Deal structures, both standard and non-standard, including alignment between opportunity, quote, and invoicing systems.
  • Ensure deals meet all criteria prior to sending documentation to the sales organization, driven by SFDC and CPQ
  • Research customer problems, and delivers solutions working cross-functionally to resolve.
  • Develop or recommend internal processes that speed up the review of deals and ensure that all SLA’s are met or exceeded
  • Assists sales makers with new tool navigation and usage, including influencing sales behavior and capabilities
  • After working hours commitment required at month, quarter and year end periods
  • Cross training in other areas within the RevOps team which will include learning how to support channel/partner operations, compensation, business analytics, and other areas within the business
  • Support sales analysis, reporting and special projects to enable change, support sales related initiatives and identifies process improvements to find continual ways to simplify and automate how we support our sales org.

COACH part of the role:

  • Acts as a front line manager for the team members. The managerial responsibilities include the following:
    • Overview and oversight of the work performed by the team, ensuring proper training and service level objectives are achieved for all tasks and functions assigned to this team.
    • Review workload across the teams on a daily basis, and realign schedules or responsibility to adjust according to time off or other resource gaps.
    • Review time off requests for the entire team and communicate those to their direct manager
    • Conduct regular or ad-hoc quality reviews of the work performed by the team to identify additional training or coaching opportunities.
    • Schedule and lead regular team meetings for training and enablement as well as discuss issues or challenges that the team needs support on.
    • Hire, manage and develop a diverse and effective team of sales operation professionals
    • Focus on delivering a positive customer experience, maintaining Boomi standards and vision.

Essential Requirements
• 5 to 8 years of related experience in a professional role
• Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team
• Strong knowledge of Business Process Improvement and strategic planning abilities
• Good knowledge of key sales and management reporting tools
Desirable Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• Project Management certification such as Six Sigma or LEAN
• Experience working with sales and external customers or in support of different business units and geographies
