Are you a Junior Mechanical Engineer with a passion for delivering impactful solutions, looking for the next step in your career? We are seeking multiple early career Mechanical Engineers to join our Defence & Critical Infrastructure teams in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering engineering projects, utilising your knowledge and expertise to create innovative solutions that influence the infrastructure and energy sectors across the Asia-Pacific region.

In this role you will be able to:

• Contribute to diverse projects, from finite element analysis and dynamic test and measurement to development of robotic control systems.
• Participate in off-site work.
• Stress analysis of machines, machine components and machine structures, using various techniques including SpaceGass, finite element modelling and computational fluid dynamics.
• Create client solutions that have a genuine impact on the infrastructure and energy sectors in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Collaborate with Critical Infrastructure teams and other disciplines across APAC.
• Contribute to writing tenders and proposals.
• Write technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental procedures/standards.

Relevant Education, Experience, and Skills:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant area of study, or higher degree.
• 0 to 5 years professional experience
• Flexible, team focused individual
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish relationships with staff and clients.
• Current Class C open license
• Current Australian work rights.

Desirable:

• Current RPEQ (Mechanical), or able to obtain
• Experience working within the engineering or resources sectors
• Experience in diagnostic testing
• Experience with task scoping and project management
• Experience in FEA/CFD/DEM and DSM (Discrete systems modelling or digital twin)
