Your next exciting job opportunity:

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Marine Test & Evaluation Engineer in Brisbane. The T&E Engineer will provide expertise, engineering management and governance as related to RAN processes for BMT’s defence clients. This role can be based out of Brisbane, Adelaide and any ports where BMT have a head office.

In this role you will be able to:

• Provide expertise with Defence Engineering process, specifically related to the Royal Australian Navy.
• Provide strong Electrical Engineer, Mechatronics or, Mechanical/Marine engineering advice to clients and partners for the project.
• Manage internal and external project stakeholders.
• Providing technical advice, leadership and mentoring within the Defence project environment.

Essential Relevant Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering (preferably in a relevant field such as Electrical, Mechatronics or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role, with a Defence/Maritime background.
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills and experience in managing and mentoring teams.
• Understanding of the Engineering structure of Navy and associated policies and procedures
• Understanding of Seaworthiness requirements
• Experience working within the Australian Defence Sector in an Acquisition program.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Current NV1 clearance or ability to obtain.
• Australian Citizenship is essential.
