Your next exciting job opportunity:
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Marine Test & Evaluation Engineer in either our Adelaide or Brisbane office. As the T&E Engineer you will provide subject matter expertise in design and product qualification and “set to work” of hardware and subsystems on Naval platforms for BMT’s defence clients. In this role you will be able to:
- Qualify components and subsystems for deployment on Naval platforms.
- Provide expertise with Defence Engineering process, specifically related to the Royal Australian Navy.
- Provide strong Electrical Engineer, Mechatronics or, Mechanical/Marine engineering advice to clients and partners for the project.
- Manage internal and external project stakeholders.
- Providing technical advice, leadership and mentoring within the Defence project environment.
Essential Relevant Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering (preferably in a relevant field such as Electrical, Mechatronics or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role, with a Defence/Maritime background.
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills and experience in managing and mentoring teams.
- Understanding of the Engineering structure of Navy and associated policies and procedures
- Experience working within the Australian Defence Sector in an Acquisition program.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Current NV1 clearance or ability to obtain.
- Australian Citizenship is essential.
