Job Description
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, BD Excellence - Commercial will partner with Urology & Critical Care commercial leadership to strengthen commercial rigor, accelerate growth, and improve execution across the end-to-end customer journey. This leader will deploy BD Excellence operating mechanisms, tools, and continuous improvement practices that make commercial performance more consistent, visible, predictable, and scalable.
Working across Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Regional teams, and other cross-functional partners, the Senior Manager will improve funnel performance, forecasting, opportunity conversion, implementation effectiveness, and customer value realization. The role combines leadership partnership with hands-on problem solving, coaching, and capability building to deliver measurable and sustainable business results.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with VP/GM, Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Regional leaders to shape and deploy the UCC commercial excellence strategy, operating model, and priorities.
Establish and sustain commercial and regional operating reviews, visual management, bowlers, key performance indicators, and action plans that improve accountability and execution.
Improve funnel management, forecast accuracy, opportunity progression, conversion, and predictability from demand generation through contracting, implementation, and value realization.
Use data, analytics, and Power BI-enabled visual management to identify performance gaps, focus leadership attention, and accelerate fact-based decisions.
Lead or support high-impact Problem Solving Process and Kaizen work focused on growth, commercial execution, customer experience, and systemic barriers to performance.
Coach commercial leaders and teams in BD Excellence methods, building certified practitioners and the capability to sustain improvements independently.
Partner across Commercial, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Operations, and Product teams to remove cross-functional obstacles and improve end-to-end outcomes.
Track adoption and business impact, adjust approaches based on results, and standardize effective practices across UCC regions and businesses.
Serve as a credible thought partner and change leader who can translate leadership priorities into effective operating mechanisms and frontline execution.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
Experience in MedTech, healthcare, software-enabled solutions, capital equipment
Requirements
5 years of demonstrated commercial experience with measurable success in complex B2B sales, commercial operations, sales leadership, or commercial transformation.
End-to-end understanding of the customer journey, including opportunity development, stakeholder alignment, contracting, implementation, service, and value realization.
Experience improving commercial operating rigor, funnel management, forecasting, sales effectiveness, or growth performance in a matrixed organization.
Demonstrated ability to use quantitative analysis, performance metrics, and visualization tools to diagnose issues and drive action.
Proven success influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Experience facilitating structured problem solving, Kaizen, change management, or continuous improvement work that produced measurable business results.
Demonstrated success building commercial capabilities, operating mechanisms, or growth systems that delivered sustainable business performance improvements.
Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment and engage teams at the Gemba.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
