Location: Rochester (Kent). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.
Salary: £25,900

Role description
Industrial placement students will be part of the collaborative development and supply of technologies or products across a diverse business producing a mix of commercial and military equipment. This could include; Head Up, Head Down or Head Worn Displays, Safety Critical Pilot Controls, Vehicle Control Systems or Mission Systems across land, sea or airborne platforms.
Core duties
- Collaboration to develop, validate and maintain product requirements
- Contributing to system development using a Model Based Engineering (MBE) approach
- Creating or contributing to theoretical analyses and sharing the findings
- Carrying out modelling of behavioural scenarios or system performance to understand system operation and interactions
- Conducting laboratory test of real time systems comprising interdependent technical disciplines such as electronic, mechanical, optical and software components

Qualification requirements
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Any STEM subject.
