Location: Rochester (Kent). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 5 days per week.

Role description
As an undergraduate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacture of some of our products across their different lifecycles. Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing and Engineering you will develop knowledge and experiences to support our manufacturing systems and processes to ensure product quality is met within schedule and budget targets.
Core duties
•Supporting the production of appropriate department documentation, such as planning documents and training material.
•Day to day support of our manufacturing cells including continuous improvement of cell layouts and processes. Liaising with other technical departments (i.e technicians, machine shop, new product introduction) to resolve manufacturing challenges.
•Utilising structured problem solving techniques to overcome manufacturing issues
•Understanding the importance of a Quality first mindset and some of the Quality tools we use (i.e auditing, non-conformance, concessions).
•Developing ad-hoc skills around tooling design, supporting additive manufacturing (i.e 3D printing) and CAD skills (AutoCAD, CREO).
•Running and management of the 3D print facility

Qualification requirements
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or Product Design.
