About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an new opportunity for a Tool Store Operator to join our maritime team based at Osborne SA.

You will be responsible for issuing and tracking tools, ensuring they are certified and safe, raising work orders, managing quarantines, and supporting production teams. You’ll maintain a safe, organised workspace and perform only tasks you’re qualified for, including high-risk duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Issue tools and consumables while maintaining strong daily communication with the production team.
  • Operate only within your trained and certified skill set, including high-risk licensed tasks.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are certified, calibrated, and safely maintained in collaboration with the Manager.
  • Uphold safety, quality, and housekeeping standards while contributing to a positive, compliant work environment.
  • Deliver services aligned with the Manufacturing Plan, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

About YOU

  • Proven experience managing tool stores
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoon shifts, and overtime as needed
  • Hold and maintain all relevant licenses for shipyard equipment and tasks
  • Basic computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
  • Strong commitment to safety and contributing to a safe work environment
  • Defence or maritime experience highly regarded
