Role Description

Are you an experienced Systems Analyst with a passion for enabling complex IT environments? Join our team and play a critical role in supporting and enhancing the Central systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a large-scale, multi project engineering and production environment where your expertise will directly influence operational success.

As a Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the overall application support, performance, and reliability of our central systems. Working closely with IT and business stakeholders in an agile delivery model, you’ll troubleshoot issues, manage system enhancements, and ensure the seamless integration of enterprise applications across the program with a strong emphasis on technical and developer skills.

The job location is flexible, it can be Melbourne or SA (Flinders Street) based.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

Core Duties:

  • Provide end to end application support, troubleshoot and resolve incidents, defects, and change requests across applications.
  • Administrate and manage the Project/ERP/ERM systems and all associated interfaces.
  • Identify integration requirements and design solutions that are sustainable, maintainable, and transferable.
  • Create, maintain, and manage technical documentation, ensuring versions remain accurate and up-to-date.
  • Contribute to the technology roadmap and assist in adapting and configuring application software packages
  • Create/ assemble modules (application objects and components)
  • Take responsibility for design of test cases for integration and unit tests, perform unit tests
  • Collaborate with IT teams, engineers, and business users in an agile environment

About YOU

  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience as a technical or functional analyst within ERP/ERM environments.
  • Functional knowledge of key EBS modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, PA, SLA depending on role)
  • Responsible for providing timely functional and production support for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Financials modules including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CM), General Ledger (GL), and Project Accounting (PA)
  • Knowledge of Aveva ERM or other major ERP applications such as Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards—ideally within large manufacturing or shipbuilding environments.
  • Proficiency in database technologies (Oracle/MS SQL Server) including SQL querying and scripting. Ability to write/read SQL for investigation and validation
  • Strong communicator able to translate complex technical problems into practical solutions.
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Understanding of foundational IT security principles.
  • Current NV1 level Australian Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
