Job Title: Support Engineer

Location: : Leeds, London, Gloucester, will have to be willing to travel to Leeds or London in line with business requirements

What you’ll be doing –

  • Developing, configuring, deploying, and supporting our solution services.
  • Writing scripts and other automation to enable future re-use.
  • Documenting deployed systems, scripts, and other working practices to enable re-use.
  • Supporting the business and their clients with changing requirements
  • Improving security, confidentiality, and integrity of the solutions and designs through compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. Working with peers to design, implement, and operate controls and adopt management strategies.
  • Providing product and service direction to the Service Management team and implementing these as part of the self-organizing team.
  • Reviewing, establishing, and adhering to appropriate governance and configuration control using industry standards and best practices.
  • Driving issue resolution and resolving underpinning problems.
  • Working with suppliers, team members, and 3rd party suppliers to continuously improve delivery.
  • Documenting technical business requirements/problems into a format that business stakeholders can understand.

Your skills and experiences

  • Strong experience of working within an IT Service/Support function.
  • Knowledge of IT technologies, including PowerShell scripting, VBA scripting, TCP/IP networking
  • Experience of working with 3rd Party IT service suppliers and partners.
  • Experience of working within large, matrixed organisations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Draws upon past or previous experience and makes judgements to resolve problems for scenarios that may not be covered by standard procedures.
  • Applies subject matter knowledge to local problems or issues.
  • History of making evaluative judgments of both factual and qualitative information drawn from a variety of sources.

Please note due to the nature of the work, you must hold UKSC to be considered for this position
