SUPPLY SUPPORT COORDINATOR

Role Description:
We have an exciting opportunity within JORN LOB providing coordination and oversight across logistics and warehouse functions.
Acting as a key coordination point between logistics personnel and the Supply Support Lead, the Supply Support Coordinator contributes to operational resilience, governance, compliance and continuous improvement across multiple supported sites, working collaboratively with stakeholders across BAE Systems and CoA to support operational and project outcomes.
Core Duties:
- Overseeing daily logistics activities, including task coordination and prioritisation, aligning with approved procedures and policies
- Delegate priority of tasks whilst providing guidance and mentoring to staff
- Preparing reports and providing informed recommendations to the Supply Support Lead regarding inventory trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Supporting forecasting and demand planning activities to minimise stock shortfalls and excess inventory holdings
- Overseeing a structured schedule of data integrity checks across BAE Systems and Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) database systems
- Maintaining and updating audit schedules in alignment with Defence policy and compliance requirements
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining logistics processes, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs)
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and standardisation and providing recommendations to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Overseeing fuel management activities, including compliance, monitoring, and ordering requirements
- Coordinating disposals in accordance with approved policies and procedures
- Promoting a strong safety culture and proactively identifying and addressing Work Health and Safety (WHS) risks
- Travelling to remote radar sites as operationally required

The JORN Team
The Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) is a connected series of three remote over-the-horizon radars (OTHR) located in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The state-of-the-art defence system provides wide-area surveillance at ranges of 1,000 to 3,000 kilometres and plays a vital role in supporting the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) air and maritime operations, border protection, disaster relief and rescue operations.
