Role Description:

Within a team environment and under limited supervision, the Support System Source Data Lead is responsible for their own review activities, in accordance with relevant project procedures and work instructions, to achieve project technical, schedule and cost goals. They may be asked to lead discrete activities and provide guidance to peers.

Core Duties:

The Support System Source Data Lead’s key responsibilities are to support the HCFP Support System team and associated activities through review of Supplier and OEM deliverables and data, to ensure the data appropriately meets to obligations of the Contract and are fit for purpose for use throughout the Support System activities. This will be achieved by:

  • Coordination of the review of ILS supplier data (Supplier CDRL Deliverables) delivered to the HCF Contract for review
  • Conducting the “Consolidate Comments” task, to ensure all review comments from reviewers, for each CDRL are reasonable, valid, suitably classified (Minor, Major, etc.), and support ease for suppliers’ interpretation for remediation
  • Engaging with Supply Chain managers to support and arrange supplier engagement meetings to discuss technical review comments, and way forward to achieve Conformant deliverables and data
  • Monitoring timelines for review and provide forecast where reviews are at threat of exceeding review timeframe. This will include identifying task priorities and associated coordination of team’s review. Additionally, identifying where review demands are surging, and communicating the need for additional support to be provided from across the discipline teams, as appropriate
  • Development and maintenance of metrics to communicate review performance measures, and enable practical decision making
  • Identification of risks of major issues, communicating these with management to ensure they are thoroughly understood, and support in mitigation strategy development and implementation. Risks may include data quality, safety, completeness (e.g. missing tasks, part details including tooling, PPE, etc.), Timeframes of late data impacting when analysis can be conducted/completed

The role will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, as it requires interface with cross disciplinary internal and external stakeholders. External stakeholders will include Suppliers, and may include Commonwealth, RAN stakeholders, Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Product Team (CSI-IPT), etc

KEY CRITERIA:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a small to medium sized team or desire to develop into a leader is considered to be desirable
  • Knowledge of ILS or Support System product is considered desirable
  • Ability to form and build strong relationships with external stakeholders
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
