About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Governance Specialist to join our AUKUS team based at Flinders Street, SA reporting to the Supply Chain Functional Establishment Manager.

Please note this role will require travel to our Edinburgh Parks, SA office.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

This role is responsibility for undertaking activities in accordance with the Supply Chain Governance Framework and assurance of appropriate governance and controls across the function.

This role will lead and contribute to activities that improve Supply Chain processes and tools to enhance the experience of team members engaging with ways of working, reports and data, procurement categories and suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and improve Supply Chain governance, compliance, assurance activities, and documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Supply Chain processes, tools, ways of working, and stakeholder experience.
  • Conduct audits, surveys, and assurance activities to monitor compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver communications, guidance, and training to support the implementation of new processes.
  • Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional teams to drive process excellence and organisational alignment.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of Supply Chain processes, operational frameworks, and control

About YOU

  • Experience in Supply Chain, contracts, compliance, assurance, or auditing is desirable.
  • Defence industry experience or knowledge of government environments will be highly regarded.
  • Able to interpret complex information and translate requirements into practical business outcomes.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and change initiatives.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with UK-based colleagues.
