Role Description:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our team within Hunter Class LOB based in Adelaide
The Software Engineer is responsible for delegated software engineering activities as directed by their team leader, in accordance with relevant project procedures and work instructions to achieve project technical, schedule and cost goals.
Core Duties:
- Work collaboratively within software engineering teams, actively learning from peers and mentors, and progressively contributing support to others as skills and experience develop, while delivering multiple projects with diverse priorities and deadlines.
- Undertake all assigned Software Engineering activities, including related documentation, in accordance with identified project directives and standards, and commensurate with the lifecycle stage of the project.
- Collaborate with the stakeholders as part of a team to design and deliver software solutions that address business challenges
- Contribute to the development of project infrastructure, such as tools deployment, metrics collection and process development.
- Responsible for performing software engineering tasks in accordance with the relevant software engineering plans.
- Take accountability for work packages while working effectively as part of a Software Engineering team.
- Proactively pursue continuous learning to keep pace with evolving technologies and industry trends.
About You
- Proven background in Software Engineering
- Software Engineering, Computer Science or technology degree qualified
- Satisfy requirements for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia, Australian Computer Society, or equivalent
- Working level understanding of the Software Development lifecycle and methodologies
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1.
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR)
