SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEAD

Role Description:
This role is responsible for leading a team consisting of software developers, testers and user experience designers to deliver requested software solutions. In addition to this they are accountable for customer deliverables to ensure technical requirements and priorities are understood and addressed. This role will require the successful candidate to operate out of the Flinders Street Office in Adelaide & the Osborne Shipyard.
Core Duties:
- Manage a team consisting of software developers, testers and user experience designers delivering requested software solutions.
- Design, document and implement ways of working and coding standards.
- Manage team delivery using Agile methodology to agreed project and BAU expectations.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert input into technology selections and developer tooling.
- Ensure compliance with Architectural and Cyber Security principles and requirements.
- Co-ordinate with other technical teams to ensure compatibility of services demonstrating a “One Team” mentality.
Key Criteria:
- Leadership experience managing a medium-sized team as a People Lead or Technical Lead is considered essential
- An extensive background in Software Development is considered desirable
- Experience in SCRUM and/ or Agile Methodologies is considered desirable
- Experience with Java, Javascript, DevSec Ops – CI/CD is considered desirable
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline Clearance
