Salary: £54,793+ Dependent of skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering customer focused Project Finance support as part of the Capability Centre, aiding the Business Unit in the effective and profitable delivery of customer projects by owning all Finance aspects of the project life cycle
• Delivering best-in-class financial planning, analysis and insights, to all internal and external customers, to drive growth and deliver superior performance.
• Contributing to the implementation of common and consistent Project Finance processes, a culture of performance excellence and “right first time”, and optimising key financial controls
• Ensuring that the financial performance of projects is reported accurately and on time, producing forward forecasts so that stakeholders have the information required for effective decision-making.
• Contributing to the modernisation of Project Finance and delivery of continuous improvement
• Contributing to a data focused and digital culture whilst digitising ways of working through the support of implementation of digital project management, reporting and financial toolsets. Using dashboards to provide insights and improve performance. Support ownership of data, and drive focus on “right at source”, to prevent manual corrections / duplication of data
• Leading and influencing through strong internal networks within Finance and collaborating with other functions including, internal stakeholders, Finance Business Partners, and integrated project teams

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

• CIMA, ACA or ACCA – Fully Qualified
• Preferably already working as a Project Accountant in manufacturing or service based industry
• Advanced Excel skills

The Project Finance team:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Project Finance Capability Centre. We successfully launched the new AIR PFCC operating model and now we are moving into the next stage of our growth path hence the need for additional professional support. As Senior Project Accountant you will be working within a team of finance professionals within a wider capability of 150 individuals delivering into the business supporting multiple value streams and contracts. BAE Systems Air Sector is a through-life business which delivers advanced military air capability both to our UK and many overseas customers. Air E&I (Europe & International) is responsible for the delivery of our European & International commitments for Typhoon, Tornado and Hawk, including production of aircraft, aircraft capability upgrades, and provision of through life support.
