Job Title: Senior Manufacturing/Process Engineer

Location: Washington, Tyne & Wear

Salary: £53,928

What you’ll be doing:

  • Holding authority for Manufacturing Engineering in the Production Readiness Review process
  • Influencing the design process to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DfM) initiatives
  • Promoting conformance to the change management BMS to accurately manage change control using Team Centre and accurately providing authorisation of manufacturing changes
  • Establishing effective planning, introduction and optimisation of process changes, following the change management process
  • Identifying opportunities to improve process output through reduction in waste and process optimisation
  • Ensuring the creation of Process Trilogy documentation for each manufacturing process (PCP, PFMEA and Process Flow)

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Degree in an Engineering/Operational Discipline and/or time served experience in an engineering/manufacturing field preferred
  • Success in implementing and sustaining continuous improvement activities
  • Line Management and or coaching and development experience

Desirable:

  • Qualified in NEBOSH/IOSH and/or Environmental Managing Safety (or working towards)
  • Ability to influence through effective negotiation, involvement and engagement with key stakeholders, earning trust from others and embracing teamwork
