Job Title: Support Engineering – LSA Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness or Brough. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop or provide input into to LSA policies, processes and toolsets, linked to LSA strategy
  • Influencing the equipment or system design through Learning from Experience across other platforms
  • Maintain ILS and LSA records to facilitate other department activities
  • Collating and understanding technical data including engineering drawings, supplier manuals and technical documents
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to source required information
  • Understanding of relevant Ministry of Defence (MoD), corporate, industry and international standards that cover LSA activities, which will be applied to support the effective delivery of LSA as part of the overall Support Solution
  • Provide covering responsibility to the Team Lead where required

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Engineering qualification and/or previous experience within an engineering environment
  • Competent using computer systems
  • A confident communicator

Desirable:

  • Previous use of EAGLE & LSAR or similar software

The Logistics Support Analysis Team:

This is a rapidly growing team across two sites at BAE. The two sites are working through a variety of projects, including Astute, Dreadnought, and SSNA. It is a very varied role allowing you exposure across the function. You will have the opportunity to liaise with other teams to understand their requirements their requirements, to aid in developing the support solution. Other activities include collating and reviewing drawings and technical documents as well as collaboration with industry partners to develop the toolsets, policies and processes, in accordance with international standards. Joining this team allows huge potential for growth and development in the future. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
