Job Description

Job title: Senior Cost Performance Accountant (Fixed Term)

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £54,793 – £60,326 (depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the delivery of a Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) service to the Air business and contribute to modernisation initiatives to drive standardisation, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support the Cost Performance processes through reviews with the budget owners to aid their understanding and ensure accuracy of actual data, understanding of variances to budget and informing a robust forward forecast
  • Provide support to budget owners and to build the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) (5 year business plan)
  • Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement processes including working with the wider FP&A team to share best practice

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA); AAT not accepted nor will part-qualified
  • Demonstrated understanding of business operations, able to articulate forecast movements, risks, and opportunities
  • Broad experience in finance management and planning with excellent planning and process management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail

Desirable:

  • Experience with TM1/Planning Analytics is desirable but not essential

As the finance lead on cost performance, you’ll collaborate with a business performance lead and finance apprentice, with potential for permanent placement and advancement into capability performance teams.
