Job Description
Job Title: Senior Change management Engineer
Location: Portsmouth. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: Up to £52,000 Dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Be responsible for coordinating any new engineering activities requested by the MOD customer that do not form part of our core service
- Support coordinating engineering support to the embodiment and close-out of all Design Changes associated with the QE class
- Be responsible for the technical coordination of Product and Maintenance Concessions
- Be responsible for the technical coordination of Design Change embodiment acceptance planning – supporting the generation of all necessary certification and acceptance documentation
- Review and co-ordinate system test form feedback
- Lead collation and delivery of trials evidence and acceptance material for Support Periods
- Be responsible for ensuring timely responses to Design Queries (DQs) associated with Design Changes embodied to each ship, ensuring these are also considered for subsequent fits
Your skills and experiences:
- Considerable knowledge of engineering change, configuration management & systems engineering principles within a maritime environment
- Preferably has a good understanding of MOD/Navy associated processes, toolsets and personnel
- Previous success working within an intensive engineering delivery team – able to work with and coordinate outputs from internal/external stakeholders when required
- Experience with managing budgets and planning/scheduling projects
- HNC or Degree in an Engineering discipline

The Warship Technical Authority:
As the QEC Senior Change Management Engineer, you will be a key member of the wider team that are ultimately responsible for the successful management of Design Changes across the QE class, as well as contributing to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of these vital vessels.
