Job title: Security Advisor – Training & Culture

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the BAE Security awareness and communication plan with a goal of influencing behaviours to improve the security culture
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of the annual security training programme
  • Deliver security training material to a range of communities across business functions
  • Provide advice and guidance to business functions on the interpretation and application of security policies, ensuring compliance
  • Support training needs analysis and solutions to satisfy business requirements in the most efficient and effective way
  • Represent the security department at internal and external meetings to promote the work of the department and ensure this aligns to wider business values and objectives

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven track record of exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret complex messages in a simple, clear and concise manner for internal and external stakeholder communications
  • Microsoft PowerPoint and other creative software – creating engaging and meaningful training delivery material to suit a variety of audiences and delivery platforms

Desirable:

  • Background in Defence, Training, Marketing or HR

The Security Training and Awareness Team:

The team is responsible for providing guidance and support to the functions on the Security Awareness and Training programme deployment, including embedding communication activities to enhance business performance. This role will support the security awareness and security training programme in order to protect BAE Systems, its people, infrastructure, information and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to fulfil regulatory and legal obligations. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
