Job Description

Job Title: F35 S&ES Integration & Optimisation Engineer (Systems and Equipment Services)

Location: Samlesbury – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £47,683 + Depending on Skillset

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and implement technical optimisation opportunities through various methods such as assessment of R&M (Reliability and Maintainability) data, trend analysis, team suggestions, and the FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System) process
  • Develop and progress Launch Packs for identified improvements including preparation of funding requests and briefing documentation
  • Support internal and external reviews by providing necessary documentation including contributions to LCMS (Lifecycle Management System) reviews, RMIPs (Reliability and Maintainability Improvement Processes), and Engineering Investigations (EIs)
  • Act as the liaison between R&M data and improvement opportunities working with appropriate teams to translate insights into actionable changes, including requesting or supporting data analytics efforts
  • Collaborate with the Programme Management Lead on improvement initiatives ensuring integration with programme plans and reporting requirements
  • Ensure all improvement initiatives drive either cost reduction or enhanced availability of products or services
  • Provide support for requirements management including evaluation of initial customer requirements, evidence collation, and development of Vendor Statements of Work (VSOWs) for suppliers
  • Provide bid support as required contributing to technical inputs and solution development
  • Deliver LCMS support as necessary across sustainment and programme phases
  • Support sustainment change management to ensure continuous alignment with operational and customer needs
  • Assist with engineering and integration issues ensuring the successful delivery of products and services in accordance with programme expectations

Your skills and experiences:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Technical background (engineering, ILS, or support engineering)
  • Proactive and adaptable with a collaborative team approach
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to identify and deliver technical improvements (e.g., R&M, FRACAS, LCMS)

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficient in Excel (data analysis and reporting)
  • Experience using Tableau
  • Bid and requirements management support experience
