Job Description

Job Title: Risk and Opportunity Lead

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £ 56,766 + dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing :

  • Lead the development, maintenance and assurance of integrated risk and opportunity management plans across the programme lifecycle.
  • Facilitate risk and opportunity workshops, reviews and deep dives with delivery teams and stakeholders.
  • Support business assurance reviews, gate reviews, audits and independent assessments.
  • Provide clear insight on risk exposure, trend analysis and emerging issues.
  • Support programme leadership with evidence-based decision making.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for risk and opportunity management within the programme.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Significant experience in risk and opportunity management within a complex delivery environment (defence, aerospace, engineering or regulated industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of programme and project management principles.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively.
  • Experience of management reporting, dashboards and governance forums.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and analytical skills.
  • Professional qualification such as APM

Desirable:

  • Experience in using Predict

The Türkiye Project Office team:

You will play a critical role in supporting the Türkiye Contract Organisation in the delivery of a world-class military aircraft program responsible for establishing, leading and assuring the effective identification, assessment, management and exploitation of risks and opportunities across the Türkiye Programme. The role supports informed decision making, protects programme outcomes, and drives value by embedding a pro-active risk and opportunity management culture aligned with BAE Systems policies, lifecycle frameworks and external standards. To do so it will be imperative you work collaboratively with key stakeholders (internally & externally), day to day the role will report directly into the TPO Project Control Manager.
