Role Description

An exciting Project Manager opportunity on the Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) Program.

You will take ownership of delivering small‑scale to moderately complex projects, leading matrixed teams and coordinating sub‑contractors and consultants to achieve clear outcomes. Working closely with stakeholders, you will ensure delivery to scope, schedule, cost and quality while actively managing risks and opportunities.

Core Duties

  • Assisting the Ship Management team in monitoring productivity performance and reporting
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Strategic planning of day-to-day operations
  • Cross functional co-ordination of production activities
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Support Ship Management team in triaging and prioritisation of issues, and coordinate cross-function inputs for timely resolution
  • Monitor progress and burn down of activities to achieve production targets and project milestones
  • Produce high quality reports, dashboards and recommendations to support decision-making

Essential Skills

  • Experience in project or business management with a strong delivery focus
  • Proven delivery of low‑complexity projects to scope, schedule and quality
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability
  • Experience supporting contract development and/or contract management
  • Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage suppliers, consultants and sub‑contractors
  • Project management qualifications desirable but not essential; relevant vocational, trade or tertiary qualifications highly regarded
  • Eligible for professional project management certification
