Job Title: Project Manager – Delivery – Facility Readiness

Location: Barrow-in-Furness – we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: From £56,000 – depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • To be the central interface with the Infrastructure team ensuring the new learning facility’s physical environment meets customer requirements
  • Responsible and accountable for translating vision of the Portland Walk Campus into functional requirements and physical environment
  • Leading on operational strategy and operating model for the new learning facility
  • Working alongside Asset Management team to bring the new facility online in safe, legal and compliant manner
  • Leading on facility standards that support strategic intent of the business and culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Responsible for MI to support regular reporting of facility readiness against project plan

Your skills and experiences:

  • Experience in Infrastructure or Facility projects
  • Management of large-scale projects sand relevant PM tools, techniques and practices
  • Experience in Risk Management, Planning and Stakeholder Management
  • Demonstrated experience in Leadership
  • Degree educated, professional qualification – APM or equivalent experience

The Future Workforce team:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Future Workforce Team working as part of the BAE Systems Capacity, Capability & Resilience Programme (BCCR), supporting current and future submarine programmes. Here you will support the team to become the central interface with the Infrastructure team as we prepare for a new learning facility to become operational. You will be the link between the Capability team and Infrastructure team to ensure the requirements are met and delivered for the new learning facility. This facility, in the heart of the town centre, will signals a change to the usual business practices but also creates a significant impact on the wider local community. Here is your opportunity to affect change and support our social impact agenda along with the regeneration of the Barrow.
