Project Manager – AIC

Role Description:
We have a great opportunity for a Project Manager – AIC, to join us. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of operations with a hands-on approach, working alongside a team of experts to ensure that projects are executed flawlessly. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the technical, cost, and schedule goals of each project, ensuring that we’re always on track to deliver exceptional results.
As you build your knowledge and expertise around Ship Building and our amazing equipment, you’ll have the opportunity to run small to medium size projects, putting your skills to the test and making a real impact on our operations.
Core Duties:
- Identify AIC opportunities across SMEs, supply chain, Program, and Enterprise and capture these opportunities from concept to contract award
- Support the development of AIC Investment Cases and Business Cases to schedule and budget across all areas of the program
- Project Manage industry development projects
- Support the broader general AIC team objectives and outcomes
- Identify AIC Opportunities across Supply Chain/Program that increase Australian Industry Participation and Capability
- Support to Indigenous Engagement Activities and Projects
- Liaise with Shipyard Production and Operations for potential AIC Proposals
- Participate in SME engagement, AIC Industry Events, as required
- Support the AIC Senior Manager to deliver on time and budget AIC Reporting
- Stakeholder engagement across multiple Teams, Disciplines and Functions
- Support the AIC Team in other tasks as requested
- Monitor and advise on suppliers’ AIC obligations including capability development
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or similar (desirable, but not essential)
- Experience or knowledge in Supply Chain, Procurement process, Subcontract Management, Project Management desired
- Ability to partner with and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverables
- Willingness to learn, give everything a go and ask lots of questions to expand your knowledge
- Capability to identify and solve complex problems, think critically and innovate
- Previous experience in a project or business management role
- Previous experience managing sub-contractors, consultants and other suppliers
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government Security Clearance
