About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at the Osborne Naval Shipyard in Adelaide, reporting to the Shipyard Capability Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
The Project Coordinator will provide regular reporting on all Infrastructure projects as well as track department spending within the Infrastructure and Shipyard Services team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide weekly status reports of Infrastructure projects
- Update milestone schedules for the Infrastructure projects
- Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure that department spend is tracked accurately and financial reporting is completed on time.
- Ensure that the Shipyard Capability Manager has visibility of the current and forecast spend for the department.
- Assist with presentations and reviews as required.
- Create and maintain dashboards of all reporting systems that require actioning from the Shipyard Capability Team, including JIRA and SHIELD actions.
- Provide administration support to the Shipyard Capability Team as required.
About YOU
- Previous defence experience or construction administration will be highly regarded.
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel /Word / Power Point / Outlook / Project )
- Experience in: Planning, Scheduling, Risk Assessment, Coordination, Organisation, Reporting, monitoring and controlling.
- Able to communicate effectively across a diverse customer/service provider base.
