Job Title: Programme Technical Lead, Source to Pay

Location: Frimley, Portsmouth, Glasgow, Preston or Bristol. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £73,400+ depending on experience plus executive benefits package

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the total programme design and inputs to the Programme Design Board
  • Owning and developing an integrated schedule for the WBS element in line with the Technical Management Plan
  • Defining the approach to the key technical tasks being performed on the Project, including requirements management, process design, solution design, development, test and deployment
  • Managing key engineering phases in line with schedule, including mobilisation, process design, solution design, development, test and deployment
  • Applying technical governance to the Project, including adherence to technical strategies, approaches and processes
  • Managing CIs and key technical artefacts, including architecture design documents, requirement specs and working procedures
  • Ensuring project conformance to the tailored ELC as defined in the TMP
  • Management and tracking of technical risks and issues
  • Management and co-ordination of technical resources including 3rd Party Integrator and Tool Providers
  • Reporting and escalation of technical issues up to the Programme Director
  • Regularly coordinate with senior stakeholders within Security, IM&T & Cyber

Your skills and experiences:

Essential skills:

  • Experience in SAAS (Software as a Service) solution delivery, particularly through Cloud Delivery Models
  • Experience delivering IT software deployment projects successfully
  • Demonstrable experience managing the costs for the engineering work within the allocated budget

Desirable skills:

  • Technical knowledge within Defence or Aerospace Avionic Electronic Systems
  • Understanding of enterprise procurement Source to Pay processes and solutions
  • Delivered transformation programme which includes process improvement, data rationalisation (or similar) and Software delivery

The team:

The Source to Pay (S2P) Project is a strategic Transformation Project for the Supply Chain Function.

In order to oversee a complicated Procurement Supply to Pay (S2P) program that has an enterprise impact, BAE is seeking an experienced Technical Engineering Manager. The position will be closely involved with stakeholders in all areas of BAE Systems and report to our Head Office Organization. Throughout the whole engineering lifecycle, from requirements definition to deployment, the Technical Engineering Manager will oversee the supply and administration of WBS elements inside the IM&T enabled project.
