Job Description:
This role leads the design and delivery of technical processes for European customers, translating requirements into clear specifications and scalable solutions. You will oversee process design, review and approve technical specifications for machinery, and ensure high-quality, compliant outcomes.
Working collaboratively, you will guide a team of engineers, partnering with procurement to assess and select vendors. This is an inclusive, leadership role for someone who values diverse perspectives, drives continuous improvement and supports teams to deliver with confidence and accountability.
Core duties:
- You will direct an engineering team to develop and deliver manufacturing processes for European customers
- Ensure processes meet UK/EU standards, applying Lean principles, Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control plans
- Review and approve technical specifications; define commissioning plans for complex equipment with suppliers
- You will collaborate with procurement to shape sourcing strategies and support vendor evaluation and selection
- Oversee process validation, safety documentation and performance reporting, including capability studies and KPIs.
Essential Skills:
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering
- Solid technical manufacturing background, including developing specifications for complex processes and equipment
- Experience with acceptance testing, commissioning, and validation of complex plant and machinery
- Ability to apply technical expertise collaboratively, supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing outcomes
The Process Engineering Transfer of Technology Team:
A team of 8–10 delivers advanced manufacturing process designs and technical solutions for a European customer, implementing advanced technology. Responsibilities include managing technical requirements, supporting risk and tender processes, ensuring safe systems of work, and leading commissioning.
