Job Description
Job Title: Principal Operations Engineer (Site Electrical)
Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £44,500 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Conducting electrical audits throughout site to ensure work has been completed to standard
- Producing and managing documentation accordingly. E.g., process instructions
- Communicating effectively with the team, management, contractors and customers
- Developing innovative process solutions which link to own and other key business areas
- Helping to resolve technical issues as they arise (root cause analysis), and putting a report together
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Commercial / industrial experience
- Knowledge of BS7671
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Inspection & Testing or 17th / 18th Edition
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Experience inspection and testing of electrical installations

The Site Specialist Engineering Team:
As a Site Engineer, you will be part of the Electrical team and provide assistance to the rest of site engineering, projects, maintenance and the wider business. You will be joining one of an established three team business department that are critical in keeping the AUKUS Project moving consistently, and supporting in the new facilities coming online across the site. There will be opportunities to meet and build relations with key Stakeholders and progression opportunities will present themselves to you. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
