Role Description:
As the Measurement and Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for the design, build and maintenance of visually rich dashboards that extract value from data sets by creatively answering complex business questions. Working closely with senior stakeholders, this role involves a combination of technical development work (with a focus on data cleansing and visualisation) and stakeholder management, with emphasis on the requirements gathering, establishment, and maintenance of a suite of bespoke self-service dashboards and analytical tools targeted at both senior and operational-level users within the business
Core Duties:
- Work with team members and stakeholders to understand business needs and support data-driven solutions.
- Translate stakeholder needs into analytical solutions that provide clear, meaningful, visual insights that support data-driven decision making.
- Collect, clean, and prepare data to ensure accuracy and usability for analysis.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Create and maintain clear, accurate dashboards and reports (using Tableau and other data visualisation tools).
- Use problem solving ability to resolve data challenges and implement solutions.
- Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and data quality on an ongoing basis.
- Contribute to the development of automated reports to improve efficiency.
- Follow BAE Australia’s data governance, security, and technology standards.
- Participate in team meetings, forums, and workshops, sharing updates and learning from others.
About You:
- Experience working as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role (including internships or university projects).
- Experience in creating reports, data models, and dashboards to analyse data and present insights.
- Familiarity with at least one data visualisation tool (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI).
- Understanding of basic business analysis concepts, such as gathering requirements and documenting use cases.
- Foundational knowledge of data handling, including data cleaning, validation, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with data in a structured and methodical way.
- Problem solving mindset.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, and continue to build your technical and analytical skills.
- Ability to self-manage tasks, meet deadlines, and work within a team environment.
- As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances

The Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) PROJECT
This role will be working within the Strategic Surveillance part of BAE Systems. Supporting projects such as JORN, and/or within our Advanced Manufacturing business area.
