Role Description:
The Logistics Support Coordinator is a key supporting role within the Combat Systems Integration (CSI) Integrated Product Team (IPT), working directly under the guidance of the Supply Support Lead. The position supports the coordination of Combat System material readiness to ensure timely availability for installation, maintenance, and testing activities onboard upgraded DDG platforms. The role also supports warehousing, inspections, kitting, and reporting functions in line with project milestones.
Core Duties:
• Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and handling of incoming Combat System items, ensuring documentation is complete and aligned with project expectations.
• Support inventory updates, while maintaining accurate record keeping.
• Help coordinate material movements between sites, including preparing items for transport and ensuring safe handling procedures are followed.
• Assist in the compilation and quality checks of connector kits under direction of engineering teams.
• Prepare and submit asset tracking and stocktake reports for review by the Supply Support Lead.
• Support site inspections and depopulation activities at designated locations (e.g., St Kilda, warehouses).
• Highlight and escalate risks that could impact Receipt of Material in Yard (RMIY) milestones.
• Maintain up-to-date records and assist in generating supply chain reporting packs.
• Assist with document control related to demil, hazmat, and inventory audit compliance.
Essential Skills:
• Driving License with access to vehicle to travel between support facilities and shipyard sites as required.
• Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory coordination (Defence experience preferred but not essential).
• Familiarity with inventory or material management systems such as AVEVA/MAXIMO
• Exposure to Defence logistics, hazmat, or demil processes is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, particularly when handling stock records, inspection data, or delivery documentation.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to uphold safe work practices at all times.
• Eligible to obtain Australian Defence Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance and satisfy program ITAR requirements
