Salary: 59,491.00 + DOE

Job Description:

Ensuring integration of development processes across engineering teams to reduce duplication, minimise rework, and maximise efficiency. Applying appropriate governance and controls throughout the engineering lifecycle to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company LCM/ELC mandates. Leveraging standards and best practice from the wider aerospace and defence industry and adjacent sectors, including ISO 15288 and agile product development approaches. Ensuring alignment with the overall FCAS Digital Engineering Roadmap to deliver an integrated, end-to-end FCAS product development system that supports effective collaboration, consistency, and optimised delivery outcomes across all engineering domains.

Core duties:

  • Reimagining and developing the FCAS Product Development Lifecycle utilising the latest thinking around agile and iterative product development, with the aim of reducing product cycle times, improving quality and reducing cost.
  • Executing proof-of-concept and proof-of-value demonstrations – providing confidence that the new product development approach meets the time and cost goals for the FCAS Programme
  • Building and leading a multi-disciplinary team to develop and deliver the solutions required by the FCAS Programme.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of different stages of the Product lifestyle – Concept design through to integration and Test
  • Experience of Requirements Management Processed, Methods and toolsets such as Doors & Teamcenter
  • System of Systems Experience
  • Professional qualification: Relevant Engineering/STEM Degree
